BUNKHOUSE RENOVATION

Here are more photos of the progress at the on-going Bunkhouse project.

I wanted to work on the ceiling this trip so I finished all the required blocking and nailers in anticipation of James coming up for the weekend to help. It was slow going but we did get the plywood on the ceiling and I managed to get some primer on it. It was a little disapointing because I couldn't use my finish nailer to hold it up as it was too heavy and cumbersome so it has got a lot of screws in it. It doesn't look as nice as the ceiling in the main cabin but, hopefully, after several coats of paint and some mouldings it will be acceptable.

Next, I added some sound proofing to the wall between the bathroom and bedroom and finished all the blocking and prep work on the walls so next trip we can put up the wall boards. Hopefully, they will go a little quicker because I should be able to use my nailer instead of screws. I also finished the rough plumbing for the toilet and layed out the smaller line to the sink and for the vent.
