GENERAL MOTORS FUTURLINER 1953 One of only eight existing GM FUTURLINERs was displayed at Rhinebeck this spring! Five of the eight are in total disrepair. Now owned by the National Automotive and Truck Museum of the United States (NATMUS), located in Auburn, Indiana, this vehicle has been painstakingly restored to it's original splendor over a seven year period by a group of volunteers. This is truly a unique vehicle build specially for the GM Parade of Progress which toured the country from the early 1940's into the mid 1950's. The Parade of Progress traveled from city to city showcasing modern advances in science and technology such as jet engines, microwave ovens, television and more.
