Here are some photos of our family trip to Ireland and Scotland in May 2007.

Heading north into the Highlands.
The brown ground cover seen everywhere is Heather out of season. In July this will be a sea of purple flowers.

This is a typical "country" road in Scotland.

Thsi is a typical "main" road in Scotland.

The Highlands are only about 4,000 feet above sea level but it feels like you are on top of the world.

We traveled this lonely road for three hours to get to the castle near Nairn.
