Here are some photos of our family trip to Ireland and Scotland in May 2007. 4 nights and 548 miles from Edinburgh north through Sterling and Bannockburn then over the Highlands to Kilravock Castle between Cawdor and Nairn. On to Inverness and along Lock Ness west and south to Fort William then up and through the breathtaking Glen of Glencoe. Back to Edinburgh Castle and the airport for Home.
The only crops we saw were these beautiful yellow fields of Rapeseed that they make Canola oil out of.
The old section of Dunfermline.
The grave of Robert the Bruce is under the pulpit in the Abbey Church.
All the roads were lined with either tall hedges or stone walls. It was hard to find a break in the hedge to take a photo of the glorious countryside.
The view from Stirling Castle.
Notice the round-a-bout.
The King and Queen of Stirling Castle.
The William Wallace memorial tower on the hill in the distance.
